The Armson semi was first conceived of in 1993 and various aspects of it were worked on by Armson and Pro-Team Products from then until its release in late 1996. This marker's basic mechanism was licensed from AGD, but rather than being regulated, it was run through volume.

Among other innovations, it incorporated an ambidextrous feed neck, a barrel retaining collet and the gas-through grip, not to mention a dual port bottomline.
